Celebración del Willkakuti 5530 iniciará el 20 de junio en Tiwanaku

El alcalde del municipio de Tiwanaku, Flavio Merlo, informó que las actividades de celebración por el Año Nuevo Andino Amazónico y del Chaco 5530, conocido también como Willkakuti, iniciarán la mañana del lunes 20 de junio.

“Queremos compartir ese día para buscar un principio de equilibrio que es lo fundamental. (…) El 20 empezaremos visitando los santuarios donde haremos nuestra wajta (alimento para la Pachamama) como preparativo para el Machaq Mara (Año Nuevo)”, explicó.

Se prevé que las actividades inicien a las 07:00 para hacer una ofrenda a la Pachamama, después se visitarán las wak’as, los santuarios del municipio, además de cumbres y miradores.

Esa noche se tiene programada una velada musical autóctona, que durará hasta la madrugada del martes 21 de junio.

Las ofrendas a la Madre Tierra iniciarán a las 04:00 en el complejo arqueológico de Tiwanaku, con la presencia de los jefes de Estado Luis Arce y David Choquehuanca, entre otras autoridades, quienes recibirán los primeros rayos del sol.

Luego del acto central se tendrá una entrada autóctona con la participación de autoridades comunitarias.

El alcalde exhortó a los visitantes no descuidar las medidas de bioseguridad y aseveró que se hará el control el uso del barbijo y alcohol en gel, para resguardar la salud de la población ante la pandemia del COVID-19.
