La Comisión Especial Mixta de Investigación Sobre la Retardación en la Atención y Resolución de casos de Feminicidios y Violencia hacia las Mujeres informó que durante el primer trimestre de este año se registraron 24 casos y las denuncias van en aumento.
«Tenemos 24 casos de feminicidio en lo que va del año y estamos haciendo seguimiento a los casos de feminicidio que sucedieron en el municipio de Villa Tunari, que ha consternado a las familias bolivianas. Estamos haciendo seguimiento en las investigaciones del Ministerio Público, la Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra la Violencia (Felcv)», informó la presidenta de la Comisión y jefa de bancada por el Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS), Estefanía Morales.
Según indica un boletín institucional, Morales hizo conocer la preocupación de los miembros de su instancia legislativa y lamentó que algunas de ellas estén vinculadas al presunto acoso sexual que implica al exministro y actual candidato a la Alcaldía paceña, Iván Arias.
“Estos días hemos recibido bastantes denuncias, llamadas telefónicas, pronunciamientos de diferentes grupos de mujeres para hacer conocer este abuso, este acoso sexual contra el señor Iván Arias, exministro y ahora candidato a la Alcaldía de la Ciudad de La Paz por el partido Somos Pueblo”, sostuvo.
También informó que la Comisión hace seguimiento a las denuncias de abuso sexual contra estudiantes universitarias de La Paz vinculadas al denominado caso “El confesionario UCB”.
“Instamos a la Universidad Católica a que pueda actuar de parte demandante, porque no se puede tolerar más violencia contra las mujeres”, remarcó Morales.
