Llega a Bolivia el reactor de 175 toneladas de la industria del Mutún, es el “corazón” del complejo de hierro

El reactor de 175 toneladas de peso de la siderúrgica del Mutún llegó a Bolivia y se constituirá en el “corazón” del complejo industrial asentado en Puerto Suárez, departamento de Santa Cruz, informó el presidente Luis Arce.

“Con 175 toneladas, este moderno equipo servirá para obtener hierro esponja que se usará como materia prima con valor agregado para producir acero”, explicó en un post en su cuenta en X.

El moderno reactor demandó una inversión de $us 60 millones, aproximadamente el 15% de la inversión del proyecto de industrialización.

Fue construido en México con tecnología de ese país, norteamericana e italiana, y formará parte de la Planta de Reducción Directa de Hierro, la tercera de cinco en la cadena productiva de acero que generará el Complejo Siderúrgico.

El complejo abarca 42 hectáreas, contará con siete plantas: Concentración, Peletización, Reducción Directa (DRI), Aceración, Laminación, Central Eléctrica y Auxiliares. Todo representa una inversión de $us 546 millones, financiamiento garantizado.

La construcción del Complejo Siderúrgico del Mutún, en el municipio de Puerto Suárez, llegó al 80% de avance físico y financiero, y se prevé que comience a producir acero en 2025, informó este jueves el ministro de Minería, Marcelino Quispe.

“¡El Complejo Siderúrgico del Mutún es una realidad! Llegó a Bolivia el reactor que se constituirá en el corazón del complejo”, destacó Arce.
