Arce afirma que ya está lista la cadena de frío para las vacunas Pfizer y Sinopharm

A poco del arribo de nuevos lotes de vacunas contra el COVID-19, el presidente Luis Arce destacó el trabajo de los gobiernos subnacionales para tener listas las cadenas de frío que requieren tanto las dosis de Pfizer como las de Sinopharm, ambas fórmulas que se espera lleguen hasta este fin de mes.

“Saludamos a gobernaciones y municipios que aplicaron la Sputnik V a trabajadores de primera línea y prepararon la cadena de frío para las Pfizer y Sinopharm. Cumpliendo con el Plan Estratégico, inicialmente vacunaremos al personal de salud y a sectores vulnerables”, escribió en su cuenta de Twitter.

Las vacunas chinas Sinopharm no requieren refrigeración muy sofisticada y estarían bajo los parámetros ya experimentados por el país, sin embargo, las Pfizer requieren una cadena de frío de al menos 70 grados bajo cero, por lo cual el trabajo es más minucioso tanto para su traslado como para su conservación. Se prevé que estas últimas sean almacenadas en instalaciones del Instituto Nacional de Laboratorios de Salud (Inlasa) de La Paz, que puede convertirse también en un punto de inoculación.

El Gobierno garantizó que hasta este fin de mes llegarán 500.000 vacunas Sinopharm, 400.000 adquiridas por el Estado y 100.000 donadas por la República Popular de China; mientras que desde esta semana se aguarda el arribo de poco más de 90.000 dosis de las Pfizer como parte del primer lote del mecanismo COVAX.
