Bolivia Revela Plan Estratégico de Energía para 2050 con Énfasis en Energías Renovables

Santa Cruz, 26 de agosto de 2023. – El ministro de Hidrocarburos y Energías, Franklin Molina, compartió los detalles del ambicioso plan energético de Bolivia para el año 2050, enfocado en cinco pilares clave durante su participación en el foro «¿Crisis Energética Global?, escenarios y oportunidades en la definición de las políticas en la industria de los hidrocarburos y litio».

Según Molina, los cinco pilares de esta estrategia energética nacional son los siguientes:

  1. Acceso Inclusivo: Garantizar el acceso equitativo a la energía para todos los bolivianos.
  2. Integración Energética Regional: Fomentar la colaboración energética con los países vecinos.
  3. Industrialización Energética: Promover la producción y transformación de energía a nivel nacional.
  4. Producción Energética Suficiente y Sostenible: Asegurar un suministro de energía sostenible y adecuado a las necesidades del país.
  5. Impulso a la Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación: Fomentar la investigación y desarrollo en el sector energético.

Durante su presentación, Molina también destacó que Bolivia no dependerá exclusivamente de fuentes de energía fósil como el gas o el petróleo para 2050. La transición energética del país combinará la energía fósil con fuentes renovables como la solar, fotovoltaica y geotérmica, creando una matriz energética más diversificada y sostenible.

Bolivia se posiciona como el tercer país con suficiencia energética en la región y trabaja en una política energética diversificada que promueva la transición hacia fuentes renovables y amigables con el medio ambiente.

El ministro también abordó el contexto internacional actual, incluyendo conflictos bélicos y sus efectos en los precios de los combustibles. Subrayó la importancia del éxito del Plan de Reactivación del Upstream (PRU) llevado a cabo por YPFB para incrementar las reservas de gas y líquidos.

Molina resumió la política energética de Bolivia como orientada a garantizar la soberanía, universalizar el acceso a la energía e impulsar la industrialización de los recursos energéticos. Este plan estratégico se basa en una visión de largo plazo y tiene como objetivo configurar una estrategia energética sólida y segura para el futuro del país.
