El ministro de Salud, Jeyson Auza, junto al ministro de Educación, Édgar Pary, en conferencia de presan conjunta en El Alto informaron que se tomó esta decisión. Las clases retornarán el lunes 25 de julio.
«Por la información recibida del Ministerio de Salud, se ha tomado la decisión de ampliar una semana más el descanso pedagógico por el incremento de lso casos de Covid-19», dijo Pary.
Pary señaló que la vacunación es importante para disminuir los riesgos y pidió a los padres que vacunen a sus hijos.
Detalló que el receso se amplía para todos los subsectores de educación; especial, regular y superior.
Auza explicó que la decisión se tomó porque la última semana se superó los 3.000 casos diarios lo que señala que se está entrando a la fase más dura de la quinta ola, aunque señaló que la tasa de letalidad sigue siendo baja.
«Como lo teníamos previsto, estamos en franca escalada de casos, que esta semana presumimos, nuevamente se va a volver a repetir la situación de incremento exponencial de casos», explicó al señalar que desde el lunes los contagios sobrepasaron los 3.000.
Dijo que si bien la tasa de letalidad de encuentra controlada, es importante mantener las medidas de bioseguridad como el uso obligatorio del barbijo, el lavado frecuente de manos, el distanciamiento social y evitar las aglomeraciones y garantizar la ventilación de los ambientes.
