El Viceministro de Lucha Contra el Contrabando, Gonzalo Rodriguez, anunció para el jueves 10 de diciembre, el inicio de las tareas de control a la actividad ilegal del contrabando que se registra en la frontera al sur del país.
“Mañana vamos a inaugurar las operaciones desde Villamontes, en la frontera con Argentina, donde el actor principal son nuestras Fuerzas Armadas y vamos a demostrar la fortaleza que tiene la institución castrense para poder dar solución al problema del contrabando”, manifestó la autoridad a los medios de comunicación.
El Viceministro Rodriguez participó este miércoles, de una reunión con el sector de empresarios privados y productores del departamento de Tarija, de quienes tomó conocimiento de la situación económica y de producción que atraviesan ante la crisis que afecta al país; asimismo, recibió propuestas y coordinó las acciones para fortalecer el control del contrabando en esa región, de modo que la actividad ilícita no afecte más a ese gremio.
“El día de hoy tuvimos un conversatorio con autoridades empresariales cuyos resultados fueron positivos, se les ha comunicado las políticas y estrategias generadas por el gobierno del Presidente Luis Arce y el deseo para fortalecer la economía del Estado. Se ha identificado claramente que el contrabando es la actividad que está dañando nuestra economía y lo que el Primer Mandatario nos pide es que trabajemos con honestidad y un profundo sentimiento de patria, para afrontar la lucha con unidad entre las instituciones, los sectores de la sociedad y la población, de modo de alcanzar el objetivo trazado por el gobierno”, señaló.
En ese contexto, la autoridad informó que el empresariado se encuentra preocupado por la crisis económica que atraviesa su sector, al cual el contrabando afectó seriamente, así como al rubro de productores, microempresarios y en particular a los campesinos que trabajan la tierra, que a consideración del Viceministro, es el sector más perjudicado. En ese sentido, expuso el interés del gobierno y mandato del Jefe de Estado, para trabajar por ese sector, con el objetivo de fortalecer la economía y el bien común.
