La Paz, 12 dic (ABI).- El vocero Presidencial, Jorge Richter, cuestionó el sábado a la oposición por hacer política con la salud del presidente Luis Arce, quien se ausentará del país este domingo, 13 de diciembre, a Brasil, para realizarse un control médico de rutina, después de haber superado el cáncer en el riñón.
«No es importante para los bolivianos hacer política ni hacer oposición desde la salud del Presidente. Lo verdaderamente importante es que hayan buenos deseos para que todos los exámenes del Presidente salgan dentro de los límites de una salud sana y fortalecida porque eso le beneficia a los bolivianos», señaló en entrevista con el canal estatal Bolivia Tv.
Asimismo, sostuvo que el examen del Presidente es de rutina «pero absolutamente necesario», por lo que se debe realizar en Brasil, donde se encuentra la historia clínica de Arce.
En ese marco, consideró que este hecho obliga a reflexionar sobre las «carencias marcadas» del país en atenciones integrales de enfermedades terminales. «Esto significa un espacio de trabajo grande e inversiones importantes que se tienen que realizar y sobre las cuales el Gobierno actual pondrá todo su empeño», dijo.
A su juicio, estos aspectos se deben debatir en una «lógica constructiva» para una mejor atención de la salud de los bolivianos, mediante la priorización de infraestructura, equipamiento y personal médico.
«El armar, fuera de esto, ciertos ejes discursivos de oposición significa intentar oposiciones sobre cualquier eje argumentativo y eso no es importante», aseguró.
En 2017, Arce fue diagnosticado con cáncer en el riñón, por lo que, a mediados de ese año, tuvo que alejarse del cargo de ministro de Economía, para trasladarse a Brasil e iniciar el tratamiento médico.
En Brasil fue sometido a un estricto tratamiento que hizo desaparecer el tumor y para finales de 2018 ya había superado la enfermedad, debiendo someterse a controles periódicos que, inicialmente fueron trimestrales y, ahora, anuales.
