La Alcaldía de la ciudad de Santa Cruz, habilitó el espacio denominado como el «Cambódromo» para la implementación masiva de las pruebas de antígeno nasal destinadas a detectar de manera temprana los casos de COVID-19 y para la pronta aplicación de las vacunas que llegarán en los siguientes días al país.
“Inicialmente el plan arrancó este martes con las pruebas masivas de antígeno nasal para detectar casos. Los confirmados serán atendidos y medicados de manera inmediata”, explicó la Alcaldesa cruceña Angélica Sosa.
El «Cambódromo» es el paseo peatonal más grande de Bolivia. Abarca 40 hectáreas que se extienden sobre cuatro kilómetros, entre el cuarto y octavo anillo de la ciudad de Santa Cruz. El proyecto fue diseñado para albergar actividades culturales y comerciales con el fin de descongestionar la ciudad de aglomeraciones humanas y vehiculares.
La Alcaldesa explicó que dentro de la logística de vacunación, está previsto habilitar cuatro carriles: tres para el ingreso de vehículos y uno para emergencias. “Además, el Cambódromo contará con 48 estaciones divididas en cuatro tramos, donde podrán ingresar 4.500 vehículos por día y se podrá vacunar a 18.000 personas diariamente”, puntualizó.
Las vacunas estarán destinadas a personal médico que trabaja en primera línea, adultos mayores de 60 de años y personas con enfermedad de base. “El período de vacunación será de 34 días para la primera dosis y otros 34 días para la segunda dosis, es decir, que en 68 días se terminará de vacunar a 622.751 habitantes”, dijo Sosa.
El Gobierno adquirió 2,2 millones de pruebas de antígeno nasal para la detección masiva, temprana y gratuita de casos de coronavirus y comprometió la compra de más de 15 millones de vacunas. El primer lote de los inmunizantes llegará en estos días.
