Naciones Unidas apoyará posicionamiento de Bolivia como el principal país productor de camélidos

La Paz, 12 de octubre de 2023. – El Sistema de Naciones Unidas apoyará en el posicionamiento de Bolivia como el principal país productor de camélidos, anunció el director de País del Fondo Internacional de Desarrollo Agrícola (FIDA) para Bolivia, Daniel Anavitarte.

“Será una vitrina para posicionar a Bolivia, como uno de los productores principales de la región y establecer intercambios con los países del norte de África y países de Asia, como Mongolia”, resaltó Anavitarte.

El funcionario, junto con un equipo técnico, realizó un acompañamiento técnico y verificación de los proyectos de fortalecimiento a la producción primaria camélida y los emprendimientos productivos de las familias productoras y transformadoras del complejo de camélidos en comunidades de La Paz, Oruro y Potosí.

Luego de la visita, destacó los resultados favorables que logró el Programa Pro-Camélidos, entidad dependiente del Ministerio de Desarrollo Rural y Tierras.

“La misión que lidero se va muy satisfecha y con la mejor disponibilidad para cualquier necesidad que se presente, se evidenció que se está trabajando para el fomento de la producción, de la transformación de productos cárnicos y de fibra”, enfatizó, cita un reporte del Ministerio de Desarrollo Rural y Tierras.

En la ocasión, el coordinador nacional del Programa Pro-Camélidos, Roberto Bonifacio, indicó que el Gobierno, a través del Ministerio de Desarrollo Rural y Tierras y la Cancillería, proyecta una serie de actividades para desarrollar el 2024 la celebración del Año Internacional de los Camélidos.

“Seremos los protagonistas en dos escenarios importantes, por un lado, la presentación de los resultados alcanzados durante la implementación del Programa Pro-Camélidos y la proyección, los desafíos y los retos que se van a ir planteando para el sector camélidos a nivel de los países que tienen esta especie”, explicó.
