El Órgano Judicial rechazó el recorte presupuestario de Bs 1.034 millones a Bs 959 millones, de acuerdo con la nueva Ley Financial del Estado. Esta situación afectaría al normal funcionamiento de juzgados y tribunales en el país.
En un encuentro entre las Salas Plenas del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia (TSJ), Tribunal Agroambiental (TA) y el Consejo de la Magistratura se analizó la situación y según el presidente del TSJ, Olvis Egüez, se coincidió que es “imposible sostener un recorte presupuestario” de más de Bs 170 millones para esta gestión.
Los sueldos y salarios serían las partidas que serán las más afectadas debido a que significaría un recorte de al menos Bs 97 millones. “En el marco de una autonomía presupuestaria que garantice la independencia judicial, nos llenamos de profunda preocupación y vemos la imposibilidad material de aplicar este tipo de medidas”, aseguró.
El presidente del Consejo de la Magistratura, Omar Michel Durán, afirmó que el recorte presupuestario obligaría al Órgano Judicial en su conjunto, a paralizar algunos servicios de justicia.
“Ante esa dura situación, pedimos al Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas que de manera interna podamos generar esa reestructuración para que también lo ahorrado pueda ser invertido en la creación de nuevos juzgados”, sostuvo.
La presidenta del Tribunal Agroambiental, Elva Terceros Cuellar, pidió al Órgano Ejecutivo considerar que los recursos que disponen para esta gestión “son insuficientes” por lo que consideró que el ajuste significaría un “gran impacto” al funcionamiento del Órgano Judicial.
