El presidente Luis Arce anunció este martes que el Gobierno nacional invertirá este año Bs 774 millones para la ejecución de proyectos que consoliden al departamento de Oruro como el pilar del desarrollo cultural, minero y agropecuario del país.
“Estamos impulsando nuevamente la inversión pública con un presupuesto para la gestión 2021 de 774 millones de bolivianos que serán destinados en proyectos para el departamento de Oruro”, dijo en la Sesión de Honor por el 240 aniversario del departamento de Oruro.
Por otro lado, el jefe de Estado recordó que en noviembre del año pasado se dio continuidad a las tareas de exploración del proyecto minero denominado Negrillos y Pacocollo, que se encuentran en las provincias Mejillones y Sabaya del departamento de Oruro y que en una primera fase dieron como resultado el hallazgo de reservas de plata, zinc y plomo.
El proyecto ingresará a una segunda etapa de ejecución con una inversión de Bs 5,5 millones, financiados por la Corporación Minera de Bolivia, que permitirán definir la continuidad de los trabajos exploratorios de evaluación de geología económica, complementó.
“En esta gestión 2021, el proyecto contempla la segunda fase con la ejecución del levantamiento de 45.9 kilómetros cuadrados de geología superficial, recolección y análisis de 1.500 muestras geoquímicas de superficie y 20 kilómetros de levantamiento geofísico de resistividad. De la misma manera, se tiene planificado en esta segunda fase la perforación a diamantina de 3.000 metros”, aseveró.
El mandatario agregó que se trabajará en la industrialización de los recursos naturales y la transformación del sector minero metalúrgico con la construcción y el montaje de una planta de fundición y refinación de concentrados de zinc, con una inversión estimada de $us 295 millones, además de otros $us 50 millones para costos de operación.
“La capacidad de tratamiento de la planta será de 150.000 toneladas métricas al año y tiene el objetivo de producir zinc metálico, aproximadamente 65.000 toneladas métricas por año, plata metálica, indio metálico, estaño metálico, germanio y otros sub productos”, enfatizó.
Asimismo, Arce dijo que se incursionará en la industria de punta para la producción de mini conductores y otros insumos para productos electrónicos, con la recuperación de minerales y la producción de metálicos.
“Este es nuestro desafío en la industria y en la minería en nuestro país”, concluyó.
