El diputado del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), Rolando Cuellar, pidió la renuncia del ministro de Obras Públicas, Édgar Montaño, tras realizar una inspección y verificar que el aeropuerto de San Ignacio de Velasco en el departamento de Santa Cruz esta paralizado, sin operaciones aéreas.
La Brigada legislativa realizó una inspección al aeropuerto y pudo confirmar que estas instalaciones no están funcionando, generando un perjuicio en las actividades productivas y turísticas; anunció que plantearán una petición de informe escrito al Ministerio de Obras Públicas para conocer las razones de la paralización.
“Más de tres años de su construcción, no vamos a permitir que el desarrollo del departamento de Santa Cruz, por algunos ministros inoperantes que no se pongan la camiseta para las obras para reactivar la encomia estén perjudicando. No solo le pedimos la renuncia de este ministro de Obras Públicas por la incapacidad y no trabajar al ritmo de cruceños”, declaró a la red Gigavisión.
Lamentó que una obra que costó 30 millones de dólares se esté deteriorando porque no está cumpliendo ningún uso. “Hay un perjuicio total, no solo de esa obra que está sin funcionar, ni operar”, porque este hecho daña el desarrollo del departamento, insistió el legislador.
Montaño en la Rendición pública de cuentas que se realizó este lunes dijo no se olvidó de los aeropuertos y que se visitó en Guayaramerín, Chimoré, Trinidad, Cobija, Riberalta y también de San Ignacio de Velasco en la región chiquitana, «seguiremos impulsando todos nuestros aeropuertos para reactivar el turismo y para que la producción salga por estos aeropuertos».
