La comisión de fiscales asignados al caso pidió la detención preventiva de Pumari en el Centro Penitenciario de San Pedro, en La Paz, por el lapso de seis meses. En tanto, su defensa pide la libertad irrestricta del imputado, además de argumentar que no existen riesgos de fuga.
Pumari es procesado por los presuntos delitos de robo agravado, destrucción y deterioro de bienes del Estado, allanamiento de domicilio, asociación delictuosa, incendio e instigación a delinquir, entre otros.
Testigos acusan al excívico de haber encabezado los actos de violencia que derivaron en la interrupción del proceso electoral de octubre de 2019, además del allanamiento, la quema del Tribunal Departamental Electoral (TED) y varios otros delitos penales.
