La directora del Hospital Regional San Juan de Dios en Tarija, Shirley Cuenca, informó del colapso de las salas de terapia intermedia e intensiva para personas con coronavirus.
“Estamos llenos en todas las unidades, tanto en terapia que siempre ha existido (…). Lo que quiere decir que en terapia intensiva no tenemos ni una sola unidad disponible para la población”, señaló al portal Ahora Noticias.
Dijo que son 19 camas ocupadas en su totalidad en intensiva y 15 en intermedia y existe ya varios pacientes que necesitan ser internados en ambas áreas.
El hecho se agravó ya que 58 contratos de personal de Salud fenecieron y a la fecha no existe respuesta sobre la recontratación de los profesionales para la atención de pacientes con COVID-19.
