Entel actualizó y modernizó sus sistemas de comunicación móvil en las localidades fronterizas de las Petas y San Vicente

La pandemia del Covid-19 conlleva una serie de restricciones que obliga a los ciudadanos a desarrollar varias actividades esenciales a travez del servicio de internet, entre las que se encuentran necesidades fundamentales para garantizar el acceso a la educación y el trabajo. Motivo por el que entre el 22 y 23 de abril técnicos de Entel procedieron a realizar trabajos de modernización de sus sistemas de comunicación móvil en las localidades fronterizas de Las Petas y San Vicente, comunidades amazónicas en la frontera con Brasil, en la ruta San Ignacio de Velasco – San Matías.

Proporcionando de esta manera acceso al internet móvil a estas poblaciones que antes del trabajo desarrollado sólo contaban con acceso a telefonía móvil 2G, los pobladores de estas comunidades expresaron su agradecimiento a la empresa.

De acuerdo a la información proporcionada a BolNews por el Gerente General de Entel, Ing. Roy Mendez en el mes de marzo de 2021, la empresa de telecomunicaciones realizó el tendido de fibra óptica de 300 kilómetros sobre el tramo carretero San Ignacio – San Matias. Lo cual permite el mayor trasporte de datos y la integración de las radio bases para su actualización e incorporación en la red de internet móvil, también se procedió a mejorar y dotar de mayor velocidad de navegación en internet a la localidad de San Matías, a través de los sistemas LTE de entel.

Después de haber estado estancada en sus ampliaciones y modernización de redes durante el año 2020, la empresa telefónica de los bolivianos y bolivianas retomó el proceso de mordernización y continua su expansión de redes de comunicación en las comunidades rurales brindando acceso al internet móvil a esas poblaciones.
