La Paz, 31 de diciembre (ANF).- Bolivia despide el año 2020 con un registro de 15.416 casos positivos del nuevo coronavirus solo en diciembre; primer mes del gobierno de Luis Arce Catacora.
En total, los casos acumulados en la gestión suman 160.124 desde el inició la pandemia, según datos del Ministerio de Salud.
A la fecha, la cantidad de personas recuperadas suman 132.097, con 18.862 casos activos y el saldo lamentable de 9.165 decesos.
En la reciente semana, el registro de casos positivos de Covid-19 fue en aumento. Para el último día del año, Bolivia registró 1.752 casos del nuevo coronavirus, uno de los más altos desde julio pasado cuando las cifras superaron los 2.000 casos. Los fallecidos fueron 16.
Santa Cruz continúa registrando la mayor cantidad de casos con 875 para este jueves, seguido de La Paz con 353 positivos y Cochabamba con 199 personas infectadas.
Chuquisaca registró 164 casos, Beni 28, Oruro 36, Tarija 36, Pando 17 y Potosí 44.
Los casos descartados suman 252.105 y existen 1.208 personas sospechosas de tener el virus.
El Gobierno firmó el miércoles la adquisición de 5,2 millones de dosis de la vacuna rusa Sputnik-V con el propósito de inmunizar a parte de la población, principalmente vulnerable al virus.
