El fiscal departamental de Santa Cruz, Roger Mariaca, informó este martes que la autoridad jurisdiccional de la Sala Penal Segunda de Santa Cruz determinó que el juez, Manuel B.E., investigado por presuntamente liberar al menonita sentenciado por violación, sea enviado a la cárcel de Palmasola con detención preventiva mientras duren las investigaciones.
“Este (martes) 15 de marzo la Sala Penal Primera en audiencia de apelación determinó revocar las medidas de carácter personal para el juez y determinó enviarlo a la cárcel de Palmasola con detención preventiva por 30 días”, informó Mariaca.
Explicó que en la audiencia de apelación, el Ministerio Público fundamentó que el juez investigado es con probabilidad autor de los delitos de prevaricato y consorcio de abogados y jueces, ya que en la gestión 2019 determinó la detención domiciliaria de Abram Peters Dick menonita sentenciado a 25 años de cárcel por el delito de violación agravada.
“La Sala Penal Primera del Tribunal Departamental de Justicia de Santa Cruz determinó revocar las medidas sustitutivas y otorgó la detención preventiva del juez”, detalló.
Según los antecedentes, el juez otorgó detención domiciliaria para el menonita sentenciado a 25 años de cárcel por el delito de violación agravada con víctimas múltiples, cometido en contra de 150 mujeres de diferentes edades en la comunidad Manitoba del departamento de Santa Cruz.
El 6 de marzo, el juez de ejecución penal fue aprehendido y puesto ante la autoridad jurisdiccional que determinó medidas sustitutivas con arraigo y una fianza, por lo que el Ministerio Público apeló esta decisión solicitando su detención preventiva.
En el marco de este proceso también se determinó detención preventiva de Juan Carlos S.P. abogado del menonita y de Alfredo N.R. exdirector del Hospital de Drogodependientes que emitió el certificado médico de problemas con las drogas que tenía Abram Peters.
