Viceministra Castro: Primera fase de vacunación ha sido bastante exitosa

La viceministra de Promoción, Vigilancia Epidemiológica y Medicina tradicional, María Renee Castro, aseguró que la primera fase de la inmunización contra el COVID-19 con el lote de 20.000 dosis de la vacuna rusa Sputnik V ha sido “bastante exitosa”.

“La primera parte de esta vacunación que hemos tenido con el pequeño lote que hemos recibido de la vacuna Sputnik V ha sido bastante exitosa”, manifestó, en una entrevista con el matutino El Deber.

Según Castro, el proceso superó el nivel de cobertura de vacunación registrado en el país, puesto que se cumplió con el uso del 100% del lote de vacunas recibidas.

Dijo que se consiguió ese logro porque se empleó incluso el 10% de inmunizantes que se contemplan en el denominado factor de pérdida que suele registrarse durante la manipulación o algún acontecimiento no previsto que obliga a dejar de utilizar una parte de las dosis.

“Sin embargo, en este proceso que hemos realizado con la primera vacunación llegamos a cumplir el 100 por ciento y, es más, se ha usado esas dosis extras que vienen en los viales multidosis”, aseveró.

La autoridad gubernamental recordó que un buen sistema genera una buena cobertura en la vacunación y vaticinó que la segunda fase “vamos a tener resultados similares”

“Por lo que nosotros agradecemos mucho el empeño que se ha puesto a esta primera etapa de vacunación”, finalizó.
